Anyone who claims Stuart or Pete as favorite Beatle should follow the
Orioles or Brewers. Maybe the Pirates. Some irrelevant team like that.

C'mon nobody has brown for a favorite color. You're making this up, aren't
you?

Well, assuming you're serious about that and about Paul being your favorite
Beatle:

Again, Orioles fans should consider the Giants as a second favorite team--
see Doug Massey's reading. Orange is close to brown, goes well with brown.
But the Paul thing doesn't work with SF, the city.

The Padres are a real possibility for you. The Paul thing definitely lines
up with Southern California and I think their uniforms used to be Brown. I
would think that Introverted Perceivers would wish the Padres well. They're
not a garish team and I get the sense they're gearing up for some steady
improvement. If you don't feel that way about the Padres, then look
elsewhere.

If you were Extroverted and Judging, I'd suggest the Phillies, but you're
not.

Past that, you've got me stumped.

Calling Roger Moore a stathead sells him short, Craig. Sabermetician works
much better because, while he certainly can talk about stats, he has good
eye for details. Hence, his reputation for accuracy. And he know his
history, too.

I think Roger should just take the test over again because he's claiming to
be a Briggs-Meyers type that he's really not. And remember that he's got to
be honest about himself, too. Sorry, I just can't believe I could be wrong
about something like this.

Astros. Ten years ago, I would have said the Cardinals, but you want the
Astros, now.

And a paucity of any kind of Fs.

If you were an FP, FJ or TJ, I'd suggest the White Sox. My thinking is that
White Sox fans are John-people because you'd have to be as tolerant of the
White Sox's unusual personalities as you probably are of John's association
with Yoko. (And I think it would be hard to find a John-fan who's a TJ and
also hates Hillary Clinton.) But, my point is that the White Sox have had
some odd personalities on their team-- Albert Belle for a couple years, Carl
Everett now, Roberto Alomar seems to have an uneven temper.

But a TP with the White Sox-- something about that makes me wonder. You'd
probably be tolerant of the personalities, but I doubt you'd like their
thumping offense. Plus, they've got the Cubs across town and they're a good
TP-blue team. I'm not sure you could ever hate the Cubs enough to be a good
Sox fan.

We might be back to the Mariners with you. Yeah, that's feeling like a good
fit. There's that John-Japanese wife/Mariners-Japanese players connection.
The M's are a team that has quietly moved ahead by getting rid of their
loudest players. Yeah, try the Mariners and let me know if that fits you.

Yeah, yeah, yeah. Neither you nor your next-office buddy have ever kissed a
girl, have you? Or a boy.

INTP, Paul, Blue is Dodgers all the way. Probably save you a lot of time
because you'll only have to watch innings 3-7 of baseball games.

Color doesn't matter for White Sox fans, but FJ is great. Any Beatle is ok,
but John is stretching it a bit.

What are you talking about? This is the perfect place to explain why you
hate that urine-soaked, minor league ballpark at Clark & Addison.

As a Cardinal fan, I always get along well with White Sox fans because the
enemy of your enemy is your friend.

Ten years ago (roughly) I rooted for the Cardinals (Willie and Ozzie and
Tommy and the gang), so things seem to work out quite nicely.

Although I'll stick with the Braves, thanks.

Actually, for some bizarre reason I'm proud to be the same B-M personality
type as Roger Moore and Dale Hicks. I'll have to brag about that in the
next bar. Smile

Okay, now I'm interested. INTJ, John, Green.

Maybe that abbreviation's why they went with Myers-Briggs as the ordering.

Seems like a losing proposition all 'round.

Actually, the Lennon/McCartney post-split VORP debate could easily
become a fifth B-M area (ESTPL vs. ESTPM, for example), given the
way it polarizes opinions.

Oh, well. I guess if I only go to bars where neither psychological testing
nor you are well known, maybe I can salvage something out of this fiasco.

Part of this is just the natural problem of categorizing people on one
side of a line or the other. While I'm quite strongly I and T (which I'm
sure will come as no surprise to rsb regulars) my N and J are closer to
the border. Depending on the exact questions on the questionaire (and
exactly how I react on a given occasion) I can wind up on either side of
the S/N and P/J, though with some tendency toward N and J. Looking at
the descriptions of the different groups at Typelogic.com, I also see
more of myself in the INTJ description than in the INTP, ISTJ, or ISTP.
Some of the descriptions, like being very self confident because you have
a very good grasp of what you do and don't know, seem almost eerily
accurate to me.
