Ah, Harmon. My hero!

And he has a point about today's players. They shouldn't need an
incentive to play in the All Star Game.

Nice to see you here. Where ya been?

My hero too. I hadn't remembered he'd been there 13 times! Wow.
Amazing.

He was right on when he said that about not needing an incentive. What
year was it that those players really bogged down in going, do you
remember?

I've been around, but I mostly lurk these days. But I couldn't resist
posting about Harmon. He was, is, and always will be my hero. Too bad
the Twins back then weren't on TV as much as they are now. I think I
only got to see him on TV four or five times a year. And we only went
to one or two games a year at the Met. I had to watch his season via
the box scores in the paper every day. It would have been nice to
actually see his 500th HR on TV.

No, I don't remember what year that was. But baseball players these
days are a whiny lot. They use any little excuse to get out of playing
in the All Star Game. "I have a little twinge in my hammy." Bah!
