| Check out the MLB sites of just about any other Major League team.
Look at the number of plans offered as well as scheduling flexibility
and seat choices as compared to the Nats.
Then decide if the Nats are looking to meet your needs as a consumer
or are telling you to come to them and take it or leave it? This is
the main reason after 3 years that I've dropped my 20 game plan.

I believe the number of ticket packages opffered by Wachington is
about the same as those offered by our friends in Baltimore. But let
me get this straight. You had a 20 game plan for three years but
dropped it because the Nationals have the 20 game plan this season
too? I don't get your point.
But ultimately any team can only offer a set number of ticket packages
and yes ultimately we have to either take it or leave it. >> Stay informed about: Nat's Season Ticket Holders |

I don't think you get it. The O's have 7 plans compared to 4 for the
Nats. I just didn't get a 13 game plan, I got 13 SUNDAY games. I won't
be going to night games and trying to work the next day.
You believe incorrectly. The Nats have the most inflexible packages in
baseball. >> Stay informed about: Nat's Season Ticket Holders |

I have a 13 game SUNDAY plan. I will be going to ALL 1:35 PM Sunday
games. I won't be calling in sick to make Tuesday afternoon games. I
won't be getting home at 11PM after a Thursday night game and having
to get 6 hours sleep before work on Friday.
If I can't make a game on Sunday if I call 48 hours in advance they
will reschedule me for another Sunday. I get season ticket prices for
any other games I go to and FREE spring training tickets.
Every team in MLB offers more flexibility then the Nats.
I dropped the 20 game plan because it offered a lousy selection of
games. >> Stay informed about: Nat's Season Ticket Holders |

I see. Okay I went to a 13 game Sunday only plan, with better seats
(Much, much, Better) for less money. Instead of going to weekday
games, weekday night games with a couple of Sundays thrown in I go to
all Sunday day games.
Can you understand that? BTW do you have a plan?
And no the O's have 7 plans to the Nats 4. Try and get the seats I got
in a 13 game plan in Baltimore in even a 41 game plan in DC.
You can't. The Nat's limit your seat selection according to your plan.
To get the same time of seats, 5th row off of 3rd base you have to get
into an 81 game plan in DC.
Is that any clearer? You are sadly mistaken other teams meet the
consumer at their level of need. The Nat's do not. The Yankees have
over 3 Times as many plans as the Nats. >> Stay informed about: Nat's Season Ticket Holders |

I think the OP wanted a 13 game pack. He should have gotten it and sold
the other 7 tickets. Not much of a risk for the first season in a new park.
Teams like Seattle offer many more packages than the Nats (8 different
packages, IIRC with 6-game packs, weekend packs, etc.) I think the
Lerners will get there eventually. One thing I would like to see is a
meet-other-fans-to-share-ticket-packages day at the park. Seattle has
that every year and will even accept multiple credit card transaction
for a single package.

I still don't get it. You had a 20 game plan and you can still get a
20 game plan. The Nats have never had a 13 game plan, which is too
restrictive anyway. You are whining to be whining. >> Stay informed about: Nat's Season Ticket Holders |

I think that the Nats are more restrictive on mini plan placement for
2 reasons:
1. they (believe that they)are more popular right now than the O's
2. the nature of the process that they assumed for season ticket
assignment in the new stadium required them to establish criteria for
assigning seats. Right or wrong, they gave priority to the amount of
games you'd purchased in the past.
As for a 13 game Sunday only plan, note that the Orioles take an 81
game plan and split it into a 29 game plan and 4 different 13 game
plans - only the Sunday only plan has any Sunday games. So, the O's
are saying if you want to see a Sunday day game, you have to buy this
Sunday's only plan, a full season, or single game seats. Which is
fine.
The Nats split their 81 games into a 41 and 2 20 game plans. In the
Plan B 20 game package, you would have gotten 9 Sunday games. The 41
gamers gets the other 5 Sunday plans. the 20 game Plan A has no Sunday
games.
They are your dollars, and you should spend them as you wish. If the
only thing that matters is Sundays, then enjoy your time at OPACY.

I think his concerns are legit. He wants a package that gives him
Sunday only games. Other teams have that. He wants a 7 or 13 game
package. Other teams have that. We essentially have 3 choices, full,
half, and quarter. They could easily add an 1/8 season pack. Following
this season, I suspect that they will increase the options. They are
still (despite Kasten's alleged experience in team building and ballpark
creating) getting up to speed. At any rate, the OP should write to the
Nats with his concerns.

I wouldn't say that, some people are happy with the choices. I am able
to find a plan for me by purchasing a 41 game pack and splitting it with
2 other guys in the office. Then I can go see the 15-16 games.

I'm not a fan of either team but at present I'd say their attendance
is about equal.

Seat assignment has always been the same. If a fan wanted any better
then a 400 level seat they had to get into more then a 20 game plan.
To get much better then 300 it had to be an 81 game plan.

Yes I know what they do.

Absolutely. Although you're incorrect about Sunday being all that
matters.Living in Annapolis and with the new Nat's Stadium now being
even further downtown on the Metro, Camden Yards is easier to get to.
I simply want to see a baseball game 1) from the seat I want to sit in
2) at the time of day I want to go to a game and on the day or days it
is most convienient to me.
The O's were able to offer me that. I know many fans in my area that
were not particularly fond of either team and are looking for the same
thing. Trust me the Nat's might pick up more Virginia Fans but they
will rapidly loose what Maryland fans they had.
As to the other poster, a fan shouldn't have to "split" a larger plan.
I got "excatly" what I was looking for and I couldn't do that in DC.

What's wrong with sharing a plan? It gives me some easy options if I
can't go to a game at the last minute and gets me into better seats than
I get if I had a smaller plan.

Yea the Orioles are not selling the tickets they used to. Back in 1997-2003
they drew 44K per game, and seat were at a premium. Now the newness has
warn off, the owner fails to field a Major League Calibur Team so they offer
more choices because the seats are not selling.
The Nationals this year are hot property so tickets are appearing to be
limited. Normal Business practice.
Best seats go to the larger purchaser[more games better location]
Last year the WFAN Radio talked about Mets and Yankee moving the small
ticket plan holders further away from infield. Yes its annoying..what
should the team do..not sell season tickets for better seats, hold them out
for walk up customers?
