Isn't this just part of NASN's promotional freeview service ? Think it's
designed to get you hooked. They broadcast a few live events each week in
the clear.

Yes they are saying that during the ad breaks. Do they do it every
week then? I've not noticed it before.

It seems to be a more comprehensive Freeview than that- it's been
available whenever I've looked since Saturday, up to and including last
night's Phillies/Pirates game. At least on Telewest that is.

It's akin to the couple of months Freeview we had last year when NASN
first launched on Telewest.

Anyway, long may it last!

The regular freeview shows are only on Sky Digital - generally repeat shows.
Every so often NTL, and I presume the other Cable companies, get the full
schedule to show for a few days as a promotional offer, though they don't
seem to publicise it much. The last one I caught was the new year holidays
last year when I caught a couple of college football bowl games.

This freeview probably won't last much longer, maybe over the holiday
weekend though.

I decided to celebrate my new single status by subscribing in time to see
the Yankees in japan.

Apparently free 5th - 11th April, so enjoy it while it lasts.

Counterproductive in my case; it's reminded me of the reason I cancelled
last year, ie the yards and yards of adverts and endlessly repeating
trailers.
