Yeah, 2nd place is so cool. I keep thinking about the blown games by this
team's bullpen and wondering what if...
Anyway, to put this in perspective: the Indians are 3 games over .500, the
Twins are 15 games over .500. It's hardly an insurmountable lead, but I
think the wildcard is more realistic. They are only 4.5 games behind the
Rangers (current wildcard leaders). The Rangers (John Hart's new team) are
12 games over. (By the way, who would've thunk that?)
To think that this team has a realistic chance at making the playoffs, after
the gutting/purging and rebuilding, has me very excited! I can honestly say
that I believed in the rebuilding through pitching and defense, and this
very young team should be a playoff contender for years to come.
It's good to be an Indians fan, again!
