We all know the AZ DBACKS are a big money team..right up there with NY
YANKEES.....
but my God...where does the bucks stop???
Randy Johnson and Kurt Schilling could buy the whole damn state of
Arizona...We are talking about 2 men 38 and 40 years old that have
outstanding careers but even with their egos can not hold back time...So
what does Randy have ?.. one more year of grueling pitching in him and
Kurt maybe two...that is if they can stay off the DL..Wouldn't it be
better to put some of those millions into these young pitchers coming up
from the farm team and get them primed for next season???...Hey, we got
Webb that way and look at him now..Dbacks have enough money to have best
players in MLB...providing players want to come over..
and are availabe...
Okay, guys..opinions welcomed!!!

What about 40? There's few that last much beyond that. Especially
really tall guys that are power pitchers. Long limbs make for
premature joint problems, and 40 is well past premature. He's
definetly genetically blessed, but I don't think the D-backs should be
hitching their cart on him. If they free up some money with him and
Shilling, develop these young pictures, get some hitters, they will
quickly be a competitive team.
