Just heard on ESPN that Dallas McPherson will undergo back surgery, and
will be out for six months. It's just too bad that injuries kept him
from playing at his full potential. I see Kotchman going down the same
route too.

Hopefully, this will cure what ails Dallas and he will comeback and have a
productive career. I can't blame him for trying to avoid back surgery.My
best wishes go out to him.

Kotchman isn't "injured" per-se, the way McPherson was. Kotchman had a
viral infection, that really can wipe you out for a year or so (think of
it as a year-long case of the flu). Hopefully he's recovered, and will
be good to go this season.
