Marte - I agree Marte is headed down Blake is playing very well at 3 base and is starting to hit . --

Why did Broussard hit vs. Marte in the 8th? - Just curious. 2 on, 1 out, why was Hernandez not put in to hit against the lefty? Even a Hernandez vs. Jenks matchup would have been better than Broussard vs. Marte. I think Boone bailed out Wedge last night.

Andy Marte - Espn says he'd be in the deal for Crisp. I checked his stats and they're nice; he's regarded as a real blue chip prospect. Coco's good, but this could be a shrewd trade.

Delucci, Marte, et al... - Well, what is the Tribe gonna do ? Pretend that is gonna work ? Isn't Delucci hurt again I'd designate Delucci for have Michaels as the fourth OF, and start Francisco in LF. Pretend that Marte is not a bust..

Boone pinch-hits for Marte again... - Who cares if he bunts better ??? Make Marte do it....!!! Let Marte hit. Let Boone sit on the bench and watch... But first two words were all that matters with this team anymore. Steve

Yankees once had a big interest in him, that's why he was in the
lineup last night. Delucci's 3 run HR gives Tribe a 1 game winning
streak!

Expect something to happen before the June 25 trade deadline! Too
early to panic now.

As much as I like Blake, I think Wedge has to play Marte now.
Blake has struggled at the plate and in the field. If they decided
to keep Marte, they may as well play him every day for a month,
as Blake did.

It's not like the Tribe has that many options anyway, as Wedge won't
put Peralta at third, let alone try any other "Big" moves. A "Big" move
to the Tribe was bringing up Francisco, something that was obvious
to almost everyone who follows the team. Remember why Sizemore
finally got a chance? It was when that lame-ass Juan Gonzales had
his last tummy ache or whatever for the Tribe. Playing Marte and BF
is probably as big a set of changes we'll see from Wedge/Shapiro.

I honestly expect the Tribe to be in 1st place by the end of the month.
The problem is that they've given away sooo many games early, that
they will have to play 30 games above .500 on out to win 95 games.
They have little chance at home field advantage, assuming that
they get they collective heads out of their rear-ends, the starting
pitching continues to be very good, and they make the playoffs.

Non-waiver trade deadline has been July 30 for many years.
