The White Sox are in Oakland this weekend.

Still to come are trips to Boston, New York and Minnesota.

It will not be easy.

For another perspective, if we do get to the playoffs, almost for sure we'll
have earned it by battling for 162 games. Unlike 2000 when were 3 an out
after trotting into the post season (if I'm remembering that season
correctly). Good pitching management by OG with a fresh bullpen (i.e.
starters are doing their job) and hitting the post season on the upswing is
the ticket.

And the Twinkies are hosting Seattle Sad

I hope the Sox can catch the Yankees when they are on one of their
losing streaks.

Oakland is a team which I hate to lose to.
It never fails that they've got our number.
Thanks to Octavio, once again we simply have to put aside our emotions. So
this time......
F'ing better never happen again or get rid of him! You'd think the White Sox
thought they'd found another Damaso Marte with him (I wish).
Dotel has blown three games in the past three weeks, and a few before that.
It would have been better to stay with Thornton for another inning or two
than put the ball in the wrong hands.
I hope we can still get two out of three starting tomorrow.

Did anyone see the Thomas barking from the Oakland bench - waiting for a
chance to cause even more agony to his former team and fans?

Dotel has had some fantastic outings and some real dogs. Like the
little girl with the little curl, "When is is good, he is very, very
good. When he is bad..."

This may come across as sexist, but The White Sox need something more
than a little girl coming out of the pen.

I think the White Sox are doing pretty well in the hitting department. The
pitching is sketchy.

The starters are doing fine overall. Linebrink will be a fine addition when
he gets back.
I like Thornton and he's gotten some much needed rest today.
They nearly seem as though they're starting to fire on all cylinders.
I can only hope that Oakland will be ready to play in Minnesota and that the
White Sox are receptive to the crowd.

Vasquez pitched another solid one.
Let's hope he'll be ready for Tampa. That will be fun!
