DeMarlo Hale, first base coach for the Texas Rangers
former Seattle manager Bob Melvin
Montreal third base coach Manny Acta
Wally Backman, manager of the Lancaster JetHawks
bench coaches Jamie Quirk
and Joe Maddon
Al Pedrique
Mark Grace

Will they interview Bob Brenly?

And when and how did the Diablos get sent to the Cardinals?

Ha! More likely they'd interview Tommy Lasorda.

The Cards bought the Diablos in August. There was a brief blurb about it
in the Republic.

When they should be interviewing the Hale already =in= the organization.....

Who seems to be well on his way to using his resume as the basis for a
sequel to "Quills".

Who should acclimate culturally quite well to the Valley (well, the east
side, anyway); best friend outside of baseball? Rush Limbaugh.

> and Joe Maddon

Who has insisted for years that he doesn't really =want= to manage, and has
a history of resisting efforts within the Angels' organization to consider
taking the top field job (except on a very interim basis several years
back).

Heh.

Double-heh.

> Will they interview Bob Brenly?

Not for a field job, but if Steve Stone doesn't want to work out here,
Brenly's old broadcasting job is his for the taking. Supposedly. (Then
again, if broadcasting rumours could be trusted, Don Sutton'd be looking for
new digs in Malibu already....)
