I understand La Russa is trying to save the bullpen during this series. For
what purpose tonight? Loshe was tiring in the seventh, it seemed obvious.
The next two games the Cards are going up against Sabathia and Sheets.
Those are going to be tough to win given whom the Cards' starters are going
to be. They had a decent chance to win tonight's game after last night's
disappointment. If the bullpen is that bad, the season is toast anyway.

I think LaRussa was finding a tactful way to say he didn't trust his
bullpen last night as much as a worn-out Lohse.

Right On!!!

And just like the supportive team that they are, right on cue the lineup
walks up and trys to make every swing a home run (a sure fire way to lose).
Thus, La Russa's comment blaming the loss(es) on lack of hitting were very
evident in this, the 3rd game. He's a genius. Let's hope that now that the
lineup has backed him up by proving they can't hit through the lineup "as a
team effort" for the last time.

Come on guys, hit for average again. This is starting to look like a
collapsing Cubs team. Where is the batting coach to point out this obvious
hickup in the best batting lineup in the major leagues (when Duncan is out
of the lineup).
