This is absurd. Get the kid up. Give him Livan's spot, or Perkins'
spot, or Slowey's spot. Liriano hasn't allowed a single run in more
than 21 innings. In his past eight starts, he is 7-0, 2.73.
According to Smith, "What we want him to do is get back to the point
where he's dominating the International League."
Hmm. Zero runs in over 21 innings. Earth to Bill...stop wasting this
organization's best pitcher, and a former ALL-STAR, in AAA. You're
really starting to piss me off.

Yeah, it's a bit ridiculous... we've seen this oh so many times, with
Santana, then Morneau, then Liriano back in 2006... these strange games
they play with players they're supposedly trying to "protect." In the case
of Santana they did baby his arm and I'm glad for that. Liriano too I
suppose.
I'm just worried they'll take the wrong guy out of the rotation... Livan is
not a bad guy to have as an insurance policy but Boof can probably fill that
role as well as anyone... all these young arms and both Slowey and Baker
have fought injuries this year, they're definitely going to need backup.

I don't think he should take Slowey's or Perkin's spots, those
guys are both just coming into their own right now, IMO. If
anything, maybe he should take Hernandez spot....but I doubt
Gardy will do that.

All in good time, I think he'll be up shortly after the break anyway.

The vet-love is just absurd... Livan should be sweating his spot right
now... if he isn't then there is simply no justice in this league...
