Just saw the new Ballpark with the Lights on! I cried. It`s great!
what a gorgeous place to live!! We are so lucky.

Last Thursday night (1/15) I was flying home from Florida and looked
out the window of the plane as downtown approached. What a shock and
delight to not only see the ballpark lights on but, from above, I could
see the grass. What a great looking park. I can't wait for the season
to begin.

My drive home takes me past downtown about 7:30 to 7:45 pm and the lights
have been on several times lately. They have also been running some old
school "Cheer!" animations on the light board above the video board. I
think they might be fine tuning things, aiming the lights, etc. I have not
heard any rumors about being behind schedule so I don't think that is the
case.

Today was the first workout held at Petco Park. They had the boards lit up and
the lights on. Unfortunately the public is not invited. Another unfortunate
thing is what I saw on the scoreboard. Evidently we Padre fans will have to be
told to "Go Nuts". Geez. And I always make fun of other teams who use this
method to get the fans to make some noise.
