And blow this team up except for Young, Otsuka, Laird, Kinsler, Cruz, and
Millwood - I would keep GMJ if the price is right. Otherwise, start over.
I was sickened by the effort today. Yes, Millwood had a poor outing, but
all in all, he has been their best starter all year. On that note, what the
hell is wrong with the fans? When Millwood was pulled, NO applause? Yes,
he was shelled. But, once again, he was their best pitcher all year, and
this was his LAST appearance here this year. I appreciate the effort from
him for the entire season. This is a sloppy team which makes too many
mistakes - not all of which are reflected in the box score. The inside the
park HR? Lee could have pulled up and help him to a double. I have tried
and tried to get on board the last 4-5 years, but am about to say enough is
enough. Do we need a roof to protect the players from the long, hot,
summer? Hell no! This just has not been a very good team. Back in the
90's when this team was winning 95ish games and winning the division, they
had a very good record at home - not 3 under .500 like this season. If your
team is not good, then your record will reflect it also. It is a 2nd class
organization across the board. Who is the face of the Rangers? Buck? He
may not be around. And Tom Cogen stating that there is a buzz from the fans
about next season? That is from the flies over the dead body that was once
the future of the Rangers. Each year as their attendance and quality of
play has dropped, they have scaled back on "thanking" the fans at fan
appreciation day. I think I griped last year about this also. I missed
almost all the games on my plan this year, but made it a point to go this
year. Arrived about an hour early. No sign of any players, less prizes and
less valuable prizes given out again, and rude staff in the children's area
behind center field. Who needs this? I sure don't. It is bad enough to be
disappointed by the team, but also by the organization to which I have spent
thousands over the past seasons. I have better things to spend my money on.
Like crack. Or meth. Maybe I should pick up smoking - that is a way to
waste money. At least I would have something to show for it, albeit cancer.

Sorry for your troubles. I'm afraid we all feel this way at the end of
yet another season of frustration. It's all self-inflicted, too. I'm
just hoping to avoid the further embarrassment of ending the season
below .500.

For every point above .500, someone has to be a point below .500.
Considering all the cause and effect here, just a little above .500 is quite
enough.

What did you think of Padilla, Tejeda, and Eaton's performances this year?

Padilla for the right price, Eaton proved nothing - I would not spend much
for him, and Tejeda seemed to come on strong - he could be a 4 or 5 in the
rotation next year.

Really liked Tejeda. Would like to see more consistency with Padilla,
but he looked very good at times. Eaton WAS consistent. He would
consistenly give up 3 or 4 runs in six innings. Not too bad in the AL.
