Post subject: LIVE BASEBALL ON NASN: WEDNESDAY 12th APRIL 2006 - SUNDAY 23rd APRIL 2006

[Is it just me or does it seem now that NASN have got the rights to
show the World Series live etc that we are getting less and less live
games compaired to last season?. Im not that impressed to be honest. Im
a New York Yankees fan and i am a subscriber to both MLB.tv and NASN
and it would be a lot cheaper to stop ordering NASN. Im considering
doing this unless we get more live MLB action. Does anybody else have
an opinion on NASN so far this season?.]


WEDNESDAY 12th APRIL 2006
18:00 Kansas City vs NY Yankees - MLB
Kansas City had the worst record in the AL last year. They'll have it
tough in the Bronx against A-Rod and the Yankees.

THURSDAY 13th APRIL 2006
18:00 San Diego vs Florida - MLB
Mike Piazza was one of the Padres new additions during the off-season.
Can he prove his worth against Dontrelle Willis and the Marlins?
00:30 Philadelphia vs Atlanta - MLB
Bobby Abreu and the Phillies slug it out against their NL East rivals,
Andruw Jones and the Braves.

SUNDAY 16th APRIL 2006
18:00 Kansas City vs Tampa Bay - MLB
These sides had the worst two records in the AL last year, both winning
less than 70 games. They'll be looking for a vast improvement in 2006.
21:00 NY Yankees vs Minnesota - MLB
A-Rod will be looking to repeat his 2005 MVP season in 2006. He leads
the Yankees into MLB action against Johan Santana and the Twins.

MONDAY 17th APRIL 2006
16:00 Seattle vs Boston - MLB
Ichiro Suzuki and the Mariners will be looking to pick up a win on the
road in Boston. But they'll have to watch out for the Red Sox
big-hitting line-up.

WEDNESDAY 19th APRIL 2006
18:00 Atlanta vs NY Mets - MLB
Andruw Jones leads the Braves to the Big Apple to face Carlos Beltran
and the Mets, who will be looking to end Atlanta's domination of the NL
East.

THURSDAY 20th APRIL 2006
18:00 L.A. Angels vs Minnesota - MLB
Vladimir Guerrero and the Angels head to the twin Cities to face Johan
Santana and the Twins.
00:00 Tampa Bay vs Boston - MLB
Jorge Cantu and the Devil Rays head to Fenway Park to see if they can
conquer the Red Sox Nation and the Green Monster.

SUNDAY 23rd APRIL 2006
18:00 Boston vs Toronto - MLB
David Ortiz and the Red Sox head north of the border to face Troy Glaus
and the Blue Jays in this meeting of AL East rivals.
21:00 Detroit vs Seattle - MLB
Ivan Rodriguez and the Tigers face Ichiro Suzuki and the Mariners in
this MLB match up.

They've added two more games at least. Yesterday their website only
mentioned coverage of two games this week.

As the NHL is entering the last week of the regular season and there are
still a couple of postseason berths left to play for I'm more than happy
that NASN is showing hockey at the expense of baseball. There are still 150+
games of hardball left yet!!!

And before anyone accuses me of hypocrisy I'm happy when the roles are
reversed at the end of the baseball season! The start of the season is just
the warm up to the main event! The closing stretch and postseason!!!!

That said I'd be even happier if all that NFL, AFL and basketbore rubbish
was dropped in favour of baseball!!!!

What is the point of NFL on NASN when they don't provide coverage of live
games ? Also, WTF is the AFL all about - I've never been able to figure it
out !
