Kotsay played 56 games last year due to injury and that was the ONLY time he played under 100 games since he broke into MLB as a full time player 10 years before. With the A's, prior to last season, he logged 148 (2004), 139 (2005), and 129 (2006). Only last year did he have difficulty playing up to his usual ability. Kotsay is a gamer and his drive to play the game will be missed, like Swisher. Having said that, I understand the need to move Kotsay, and maybe even Swisher and Haren even if I didn't like it.
