Amongst all the fighting here did anyone notice that Kennedy had gone to the
Cards? They didn't even really say anything on the Angels website. I was
surprised. Not even a goodbye to another member of the 02 group. The Cards
are taking all the true Heart of the Halo's. Look what it has done for
them. Heck...they even got Weaver from us and he helped them. Something
feels like the Halos are moving in the wrong direction to me. It just
doesn't feel right....I don't feel the magic. Now Kennedy is gone:

ST. LOUIS -- In each of the past two years, David Eckstein has spent Spring
Training getting to know a new double-play partner. This time around, the
get-acquainted period should take about long enough for a handshake and a
friendly hug.
Adam Kennedy signed a three-year deal on Tuesday to play second base for St.
Louis, reuniting him with Eckstein, his old Anaheim teammate. The
30-year-old keystone minder spent the past seven seasons as an Angel, four
of those with Eckstein as the man to his right.

"Any time you have a middle-infield combination where you're comfortable,
it's going to make it that much easier," Kennedy said. "What a great
teammate. You guys [in St. Louis] know what kind of teammate he is and how
he plays the game, and it's an honor to play beside him."

Goodbye AK, we'll miss ya!

Nathan

Perhaps sentimentally, losing Kennedy feels like a loss, but it's really an
addition by subtraction. He was blocking Kendrick from playing his proper
position.

Agreed but at the same time I think what the Angels keep losing is the
intangible. There was something special about that group from 02 and it
wasn't all talent based. We saw it again in the Cardinals playoffs this
season.
