I am so steamed right now, usually I don't let a game get to me and
usually watch from beginning to end, but I have seen enough. I can't
beliee we gave up Austin for these relief pictures, Bray does his best
David Weathers impression and loads the bases, yes Freels should have
caught that ball, but alot of guys don't even get to it, I"ll take
Freels on my team anyday. Majeski has sucked, and I would rather have
Lopez, thats the second high throw Clayton has made on a double play
attempt in the past week, even though the guy was out, bad call.
And why do you double swich for Ross who is hot tonight!!

Welsh tried excusing Freel's error because he "came a long way to get
there." I don't care if he drove from California...the ball hits in your
glove, you catch it.

The previous one was clearly Phillips fault.

As if Cormier is going to toss two innings or something. In fact, they
brought in a new pitcher the next inning, so there was *no* point in
worrying about the pitcher batting second (where Valentin hit after the
DS).
It wouldn't be a Reds game without a seriously questionable decision or
three by Jerry Narron.
That's three in a row now, and I am not feeling the optimism one should
feel after deadline beating trades and a lead in the WC race.

Another abysmal move. Hopefully Krivsky is taking notes. >> Stay informed about: Can we please have Kearns back |

Am I correct in recalling that Denorfia's PH AB would have actually been
Ross hitting if they hadn't double switched?
If Krivsky is taking notes, it is probably on the back of Narron's
contract that they've already extended.

I had been wondering if Narron had learned something from his
stint with the Rangers. This was the guy who just *had* to use
Mark Petkovsek in every possible close game.
In an old thread, Rob Haneberg mentioned a bit of Narron
hilarity I forgot. Tie game, bottom of the 9th, 2 outs. Dave
Burba walks Eric Chavez. Dave Burba walks Jermaine Dye. Dave
Burba throws a wild pitch, runners advance. Think Dave Burba
might be having control problems? Of course not! So it's
totally safe to intentionally walk John Mabry now to load the
bases. Dave Burba hits Saenz, game over.
