mlb.com is reporting a possible trade:

"According to reports from the GM meetings, there are rumors that a
potential trade may send Juan Pierre to the Cubs for Corey Patterson."

Are you kidding me!!!

Patterson has been a huge disappointment since the 1st time he stepped
onto the grass at Wrigley.

Pierre had a terrible year, however Patterson was injured in 2004, and
in 2005 played so poorly that the lowley Cubs sent him to the minors to
see if he could remember how to hit.

I just don't understand why anyone would trade for Patterson, I think
he's been all he could be, and currently has no upside.

Wooooo Red Sox fan here lurkin to see if anyone's discussing Becket, I'd
love to have Patterson BECAUSE he has so much upside. His value is so low
now and yet he HAS shown an occasional flash of what everyone thought was
can't miss stuff. If all it takes to get him is a guy who admittedly was
horrible last year AND it frees up money I'd jump at that.

my bet is Pierre ends up with the White Sox. Ozzie loves him and drools at
the idea of having Pierre and Posednick batting 1-2 in the line-up.
