I couldn't listen much tonight. Did Jones do anything at all?

I meant to add (but it was after 1am on the East Coast, and I was getting
bleary-eyed)...for what it's worth, Monday said that even though the results
weren't there yet, Andruw looks like he's swinging the bat better. Take it
for what it is.

That, unfortunately, is not a difficult thing to accomplish. Yet I have
faith, yes I do.. He will get hot and produce. Probably not his salary's
worth, but still, produce.

No pitching combined with no hitting is a pretty lethal combination.
Frank Thomas is now available along with Barry Bonds. I'm sure Colletti
is probably salivating at the thought of adding a couple more lard-asses
to the ones he has now.

If you look at pics of him last year he 'looks' like he as big then as
he is now. So I doubt that he put it all on over the off season but I
could be wrong. But it's what he didn't do over the off season that
really chaps my hide. He didn't even attempt to lose some of the
wieght nor did he attempt to come into camp in at least decent shape.
He pulled a Colon (sp?), who went to the Angels camp after signing
with them out of shape and resembling the good year blimp.

Was Jones a "lard ass" when he was signed or did he grow into the 248 titan
of girth he is today over the off season?

And how do you know he didn't even try? Perhaps the Keebler elves jumped him
and forced cookies down his throat. Maybe his cat died and drown his sorrows
with Oreos and milk. Maybe he jogged an extra mile a day but couldn't resist
eating the rest of the cake?

Just funnin' with you.
