He really is a moron. Nice of him to keep Ryan fresh AT HOME for a
save situation to mysterious emerge. >> Stay informed about: Thank you, John Gibbons |

Ryan is on the DL which makes the yank even a little more debatable. >> Stay informed about: Thank you, John Gibbons |

Well then I'm the moron for not keeping up with recent wire reports.

He went on the DL on the 15th for a strained elbow. Can't catch all
of this stuff.

In fairness, Halladay has battled injuries for most of his career,
and it doesn't help the Blue Jays if Halladay goes Prior/Wood for
them. Moreover, Ortiz has (it's unclear to me whether this
includes today's game or not) a .299/.338/.672 line against
Halladay, with 7 home runs in 67 at bats. With a runner on in
the late innings, with Ortiz hitting well of late but always
more vulnerable against lefties, with Ramirez not hitting well
of late (or in this game), Gibbons rolled the dice. And lost.
Given Ortiz's success against Halladay, I think it's defensible.
I might not have done it, but I think it's defensible.
Catch you later.

Halladay did go 10 innings in his last start (don't know the PC). Ortiz
hit him hard for a double in his previous AB, and was due up with one on
and a two-run lead. >> Stay informed about: Thank you, John Gibbons |

Anyone in here complaining about a manager pulling a starter is ironic
to say the least. This is the biggest pro pitch count group on the net.
Gibbons mistake was not thinking beyond Ortiz, especially without Ryan. >> Stay informed about: Thank you, John Gibbons |

"Anyway, this idiot has had enough. I know the sox will never win it
all because they don't know baseball like the yanks do. The sox fans and
organization will never, never, never get it. On the bright side, I get to
watch a sox/ yank series with my father
while cheering on the same team for the first time in 32 years."
