Yeah, he really cares about this team and his players that he turned
down a 2 year, 1 year option, $16 million deal with the Yankees.
Sorry, but $8 million a year with an option of $8 million more is a
sincere deal for a loser that hasn't gotten out of the first round
with the league's most prolific and highest spent team in the MLB.
Torre should of grab the money and run, but instead he chose to say FU
to the team and the players and the fans.
The only explanation is this: Torre realized the Yankees are done.
Captian clutch is proven to be the real fraud. ARod is likely gone.
Posada and Rivera are a couple of old farts that has reached their
peak and ready for a decline. The young guns are promising but 2-3
years away. The rest of the lineup are overpaid and overachieved. The
only player that can hold his wang is well... WANG!
Good for Torre to abandon ship first. >> Stay informed about: Joe Torre says FU to Yankees fans and team |

All the reports I heard was that it was a one-year, $4M contract with
incentives for post season accomplishments. >> Stay informed about: Joe Torre says FU to Yankees fans and team |

Even with incentives it has been described as a $5 million package.
