3 of them came with the Dodgers, were did the other 76 come from?
They got hot at the right time.

So sports really do not count at all because every time there is a game or a
series somebody is going to be hotter than somebody else?

It would seem to me that a Joe Torre has the good fortune to have his
baseball team get hot at the right time a great deal more often than a Dusty
Baker.

If you just want to put a bunch of ballplayers out there and let them manage
themselves the result would not even be worth watching.

Hey - even the announcers said that the Dodgers had lost 8 in a row and
suddenly Manny shows up and they win 21 out of 30
I would say in any sport that winning 21 of 30 means the team is hot.
They carried that right into the playoffs.

Who was managing Manny Ramirez? On observation it would be the same guy
who was not quite good enough to manage the Yankees.

Good thing Torre does such a good job of managing the club.. - The most gentle, quiet guy on the team is now publicly criticizing his teammates.
