The only way the Jays are going to improve is to get rid of Riccardi.
He's the worst gm in baseball.
2 years ago he made the worst offseason signing with Burnett, last
year he lowered the bar again by signing Thomas. In 7 years the team
hasn't had a sniff off October and that isn't going to change this
year, or next or the year after.

He has never come out on the upside of a trade.

He came in claiming to be a money ball guy. Saying he could recruit
great minor league talent. In six years he brought in Hill, Lind,
McGowen, Russ Adams and Eric Hinske.
In the same time period his reviled predessessor Gord Ash brought in
Halladay, Wells, Rios, Escobar, Hudson, Carpenter, Mike Young, and
Felipe Lopez. (Everyone an Allstars, gold glovers or Cy Young
winners.)
JP, after being an absolute drafting failure says you can't play money
ball in the AL East. It is possible to outdraft Minnesota but the Blue
Jays will never outspend the Yankees.

This clown is like Harold Ballard to me. He has certainly driven me
away from the ball park and I'm so disgusted I will soon no longer be

He is totally hopeless. The real problem is Paul Godfrey. Godfrey
didn't want to be upstaged, so he hired Ricciardi who had never been a
GM before. Ricciardi didn't want to be upstaged, so he fired Buck
Martinez and hired Tosca, and then Gibbons, neither of whom had ever
managed a Major League team before.

Why is it that the Jays and the Leafs have to hire rookie GMs who
have to learn on the job and who do not have extensive contacts or a
network? The Raptors went out and hired a real basketball man and now
the Raptors win their division.

It's truly appalling.

except for lindh perhaps he is filling for
overbay But overbay is a proven talent and experience,injury will take
its toll on any team.

Thomas was got sort of chealpy after almost a career year last
season and
boy does that sell tickets.

Stairs has been quite surprise so far
he is a defence gem and can teach Hill
a lot but they gota stop screwing with
Hill should be the everday 2ndb.

The three above pitchers yes are expenadble but who trade for do supose
the yanks are gona give rivera for all
three.

Gluas and Overbay are keepers in my
humble opinion,where you gona find
better for less money,to many teams
have already sucombed to injury.

Then there is Zuan who can be such a
sarkplug sometimes,but can not thorw
out a runner to save his soul.

But I would like to see him stay on with
team he is one savvy catcher and would make a fine coach.


Just to add i dislike ricky as much as most
real Jay fans buts it's that a hole
goodfrey who has roger's ear wants to

You wouldn't trade Rios for a good young arm? A Boof Bonzer or Mark
Garza?

You wouldn't swap Hill for JJ Hardy or Prince Fielder?

Is the team so pathetic that you consider a 26 year old pitcher with a
3-2 record untouchable?
