Post subject: Jays Should Not Recall Josh Towers But Should Bring Back Russ Adams Now
Archived from groups: alt>sports>baseball>tor-bluejays (more info?)

Russ Adams is batting about .340 with Syracuse. Alfonso is around .100
with the Jays.
Adams had made 10 errors as Jays' shortstop. That is about only two more
than Tejada
with the Orioles and Alex Rodriguez at third with the Yankees. Russ Adams
should not have
been demoted. He should be recalled immediately and installed either at SS
or second base
with Toronto's ML club. The kid can hit.

As for Josh Towers there are too many other minor league pitchers in the
Jays system who should
be given a look with the Jays. If Towers returns it will just be more of
the same. By the end of the year
he would be something like 3--15. The Jays should outright him now and eat
his contract.
