as a platoon player. I want a REAL full time outfielder.

second. ONLY if the do acquire a true leadoff hitter though. Batting #2
could make Granderson more of a contact hitter, thus cutting down the
strikeouts, BUT, I don't want to see tampering without good reason.

You underestimate the effect of his presence on the pitches Ordonez sees.
Again, do not tinker without a good reason.
We could score even

assumption.
But pitching is still the problem. In 2006 the

ok, Rogers needs to be replaces. Zumaya and Rodney need to be healthy.
We scored more runs in 2007 but won less

seems, however, that you have concluded that it's 07, and gone into a panic
mode. I am not panicked. I have more faith (FAR more) in Miller's future
than Maybin's. He needs work on endurance, and that only comes with
experience.
What we need are a couple of shut down

WILL NOT happen. Do you have ANY clue what that would cost, in $$$ if the
FAs are out there, or in personnel, if you look to trade for them?
The best Tigers starter is Verlander, after that it's all up

just can't agree on the "major question marks."
Is Bonderman ever going to learn

....and? Every team needs one.
And who are the Tigers going to use as the other 2

one can never be "sure" of anything. MFYs thought A Rod was a winner.
I would rather see them

winning ballgames wins championships. It has been done with mediocre
pitching, and< i assure you, will be again.
That's why DD has placed such a big

I will not presume to interpret his intentions, but, the (highly successful)
Earl Weaver theory was that you **always** draft pitching, then you can
trade for your other needs.
The Tigers have plenty of hitters

....or produce more.
You do realize that both KC and Minnesota had better team ERAs than the
Tigers? Point is, there is no absolute formula. It's the BALANCE.
