Izzy blows another one... - In his defense, he did pitch 2 innings And he didn't have much of a lead, since Tony stayed with Carpenter a bit too long.

Izzy blows yet another one! - What a horrible time for Izzy to blow his umpteenth save of the year. An extremely important game against the 2nd place team that's breathing down our necks. With Rolen out with back spasms, we needed to win tonight as it'll be difficult to win the final

Izzy blows another key save opp! - yes Guess what? Izzy blew another save opp. when we needed him to not do that the worst against Bagwell. Lidge now in to pitch in the bottom of the 9th.

Izzy blows a save opp! X-tra innings again! - yes Now Izzy is getting into the act. He added a blown save of his own to the 28 total in the top of the 9th (with a WP, also) and a 2-1 lead. CIN is 14-5 in x-tra innings; Cardinals are 6-5. 2-2 now going into the..

Hey Wes, did you see this in this morning's Post-Dispatch?:

"Wainwright, fourth in NL ERA and ninth in innings pitched before
Monday's game, rarely hit 90 mph with his fastball and barely
controlled his slider."

Let's all of us hope that this drop in velocity is anything other than
a one-time incident.

Is there anyone in AAA that could take his spot in the rotation? Maybe they
should let him skip a turn.
