Last night on Arizona Television news channel,
Randy said he was glad to see younger players come up...but..his last
words were...QUOTE..
"If it doesn't work, no use for me to be here either"... To those that
saw that interview... any opinions and comments on RJ's overall
attitude.
I got the feeling Schilling leaving might have had something to do with
it...

G. Allen ..Mesa, Az.

I didn't see the interview, but it seems to me that Randy's point was if
the D-Backs don't win with their young talent, it's kind of pointless to
keep a very expensive superstar pitcher on their roster. That's
especially true when the general managers of contending teams would give
their souls, kidneys, eye teeth and first-born kids to get a pitcher of
Randy's caliber, and he knows it.

I think he was making the point to the D-Backs front office that he'd be
willing to consider a trade if they're lousy and out of contention by the
trade deadline.

But, since I didn't see the interview, I don't know for certain.
