This makes my father's stint work harder but if the Cubs (and Wood) carry
the day tomorrow they will have done the unusual and lose the first game and
then take the series by winning out.

OBTW: For all the Womack detractors...in that he is a Ojeda replacement he
showed what he could do by running the bases.

Now with him and Simon in the lineup it brings a left-handed balance to the
club where the team is really is right-handed pitching challenged.

Putting Lofton and Womack at the top changes everything if they get on base
in front of Sosa and Alou. Simon (like Choi offered prior to his concussion)
offered a break after the RH power of Sosa, Alou, Ramirez.

BTW if a miracle does take place and Womack catches fire I can see him
playing for a tired Gonzo and get him ready for the playoffs.
