Good Day.

I notice that there are a number of leagues out there that will draft
minor leaguers and place them on some form of reserve list.

Does anyone play with a hybrid roster where there is a mixture of major
and minor leaguers active on the same roster and both class of players
accumulate points? If so, can you chime in and elaborate a bit?

If no one has heard of this type of set-up, what would be the potential
benefits for and against such a setup?

Thanks.

First, I never heard of anything like that.

Secondly, I see 2 drawbacks - the biggest one would be access to minor
league stats. I doubt that many if any of the traditional stat services
integrate minor league stats with major league stats. The other
drawback is that there is a mix of competition, minor league hitters
hitting against minor league pitchers in minor league parks matched up
and mixed in with their major league counterparts. It sounds messy.

However, if it is what you want and you can access the stats - congrats
and enjoy!
