Since I last remarked on Hennessey's flakiness, he has had:

1) A terrible start vs. Fla
2) An excellent start vs. StL
3) A terrible start vs. Phi

One of the obvious culprits is the pitch count: whenever he pitches a good
game, he tends to get up in the 115-120 range, and that seems like a
potential cause for his pitching worse in the next start.

I thought that in last night's game, many of the hits he gave up were on
pretty good pitches, and were not hit that hard.

That might be a very good point. Hard to say, though. After 5 days, it
shouldn't maske a difference unless it's mental.

Kuiper remarked that the difference between a minor league player and a
major league player is consistency. Hennessey is still a AAA player based
on that.
