The Cubs have notorious for a long time by signing free agents
basically after their prime. Look back about ten to twelve years and
you'll see what I mean.

So you mean the previous regime. Which has nothing to do with the
tendancies of the current regime.

There is plenty to browbeat this current (plus last year's) management
team about, but to blame them for the sins of their forefathers ain't
one of 'em. Your point is meaningless.
