After tonights game win or lose the Flubbs will have a losing record
VS the far superior American League.
But don't fret because it's back to minor league baseball for the rest
of the season.
Lots of games against the Pittsburghs, Cincys, eastern division,
western division,etc--they're all the same.
Winning games in that piss-poor league should be no problem.

The truly amazing part is no championship in 100 years. No team in
history has ever accomplished that--a record you can truly be proud
of. Not like the 2005 White Sox that went 11-1 in the post season, a
fabulous record that has never been surpassed.

Be proud Flubb fans and here's hoping for at least 100 more.

Happy Anniversary!

But it HAS been surpassed by the record set by the Black Sox in 1919!

This, to this day, remains the single most humiliating, utterly
devestating event in the entire history of Professional Sports. It
remains the reason why this disgraced team still can wear only black
on white as their team colors. Black is the symbol of shame....a shame
that this team and all of their fans will carry throughout eternity.

Happy Anniversary!

Your 89th anniversary of the infamous Black Sox scandal will be at the
end of the World Series. Have you no grasp on history whatsoever?

What is the true 100th anniversary date of the Cubs' last title? No matter
how well they do this year, they will almost certainly hit the 100th
anniversary before anybody is crowned 2008 World Series Champs, correct?

Basically, as I said in October of last year, the Cubs being swept out of
the 2007 playoffs guaranteed 100 years of futility. I just want to know
what the official anniversary date of that historic mark will be. Anybody
know?

I thought the Cubs won the World Series in 1945. That would be far less
than 100 years.

The Detroit Tigers of the American League won the 1945 World Series over the
Cub. So shoot me.

It gets worse. Since Charlie Weeghman purchased the Chicago
Chokers and moved them from the South Side to the Addison
Avenue Graveyard, they have NEVER won a World Series. Not
only that, but they lost SIX World Series. I call it "The
Curse of da Nort Side".

1918: 2-4 Boston Red Sox
1929: 1-4 Philadelphia A's
1932: 0-4 Evil Empire
1935: 2-4 Detroit Tigers
1938: 0-4 Evil Empire
1945: 3-4 Detroit Tigers
