Didn't JP and Paul Godfrey predict the Jays would win 96 games this
year, and contend for the wild card? Since that has gone out the
window, they're now saying they're buidling to contend in the future?
Which has gone from 2005 to 2006 to now 2007? Do I hear 2008 anybody?

I say this 96 wins prediction before the season started was nothing
more than BS to sell tickets. You expect it from Godfrey, but it looks
like JP is doing all he can to make himself look good. And by putting
off winning to the future, it takes the pressure off JP to win now.

It allows him to continue acting like a know it all superstar GM.
Always holding his cell phone wearing those cool shades. I guess the
shades hide his tears while watching the team he's put together?

But anybody who buys any of the BS these guys are spouting these days
must be dyed in the wool fans. Because its obvious to me this
franchise is in deep trouble. Not just to win, but to survive. And if
it does take to at least 2007 to be respectable, it will be too late
for the franchise. Because they'll have to become respectable in
another town.

depending on how old you are the trades JP made when he came over
reminds me of the ones Punch Imlach made for the leafs in 1979. what
started off nicely turned into a complete disaster. (Paiment/Hickey)
looking back now and keeping this in mind its hard to believe we
traded away so many quality players and have Eric Henski and Justin
Miller to show for it.

I don't care anymore.
First Paul Godfrey removed the red maple leaf on the caps and uniforms. Now
he allowed J.P. to trade away the 1st baseman of the future. They have too
many minor league hitters. If there were that good why in the blue hell they
stayed in the minors in the first place? The bullpen is a big concern and
J.P. said it's not. I won't be surprised if they move the team to a U.S.
city in the near future.
Now, I just watch baseball to kill some time.

Bringing in a know nothing former politician like Paul Godfrey to turn
around the franchise was the worst thing Ted Rogers did. Everything he
touches turns to lead.
