I addition 6 games will be played on school/work nights. Game 3 will
be at 4 ET. My guess is Fox wanted to keep its regular Saturday night
programs. >> Stay informed about: Guess who said this |

Since most people work during weekdays, and on weekends they compete
against college and NFL football, that seems like a pretty logical claim
to me. >> Stay informed about: Guess who said this |

Anyone know why they chose to wait till Wednesday to start the World Series?
The traditional schedule was always T, W, off Th, then F-Sat-Sun, off M, then
T, W. Had they done that then Game 7 would have been Oct 31. They also
compete with Monday night football with the current schedule.

Any weekend game is going to be going against football, regardless of
time, so I guess they have to pick their poison. >> Stay informed about: Guess who said this |

I never realized that last year's schedule had reached traditional status.
Rumors are FOX didn't want to screw up two week-ends.

Idiots plural as all money decisions belong to the owners not Selig. Fox is
paying big bucks to get the owners jumping. If they demanded less, FOX might
be doing the jumping.

Even when going up against Monday night football? I would think the combo
of Tuesday night and Friday night would beat Thursday and Monday. But then,
I'm no Fox Sports genius.

When there were 16 teams and no playoffs the Series started on
Tuesday. In many cases 7 games were played in 7 days. The travel date
was not built in but was only used when needed. >> Stay informed about: Guess who said this |
