The Pride of Chicago took it into the 10th and
did the job. The Big Boys are now 3-2 in extra
innings and 9-9 in one-run games. They're on
a six game winning streak with one more game
with the Tribe tonight.

It took the Devil Rays two years to recover from
three years of Lou Piniella's management style
and they are having an awesome season. We have
three games left to play with them in late August.

The winningest teams in the superior American League
are:
Devil Rays .. 51 - 32
Red Sox ..... 50 - 36
Angels ...... 50 - 34
White Sox ... 48 - 35

Besides the four AL teams that you mentioned above you can add
Oakland, Minnesota, Detroit, Yankees, and Baltimore to the list of AL
teams that are superior to any teams in that joke of a minor league
NL.
There shouldn't even be an NL team allowed in the playoffs. If you
really want to have the best teams in the playoffs in 2008
it should be all AL teams. There is no competition in the NL pony
league.

BTW, I live in Albany NY. Just about everyone here I talk to thinks
this Inter-League schedule is a total drag. I guess that the fans in
certain markets, Chicago being one, get something out of it but for
the rest of the country, my bet is that is viewed as nothing more than
some stupid scheduling aberration. Comments?

There are a few markets where it has some increased
attendance value. But in reality it's just another
machination by Commissioner Kevorkian to blur the
boundary between the AL and the NL.

Bud Light is a nano-meter behind Aslip on my list of
complete jagoffs.

Then he is failing miserably. All it is doing is showing how superior
the AL is.
