Post subject: Al Gore and wind farms, the real story
Archived from groups: alt>sports>baseball>bos-redsox, others (more info?)

Wind turbines start operating at wind speeds of 4 to 5 meters per second
(around 10 miles an hour) and reach maximum power output at around 15
meters/second (around 33 miles per hour). At very high wind speeds, i.e.
gale force winds, (25 meters/second, 50+ miles/hour) wind turbines shut down
automatically to protect their structural integrity.

Now I am not sure about the wind speeds generated, but I do believe that if
a mobile wind turbine were constructed to be in front of Al Gores mouth when
he spoke about global warming (or any other subject), that the energy
generated would exceed at least that generated by the average nuclear power
plant. This would theoretically allow at least one nuclear power plant to be
shut down. Better yet if Gore began consuming beans again and had a turbine
placed to spin by the gaseous emissions that all electrical energy needs
could be met. The latter idea is however risky since the methane generated
would clearly begin eroding the Ozone layer within days.

The stuff you learn here, might just make your hair stand on end, or you
might just giggle.

And that's the way it is.

If anybody knows what way that is, could you let me flippin know. Please!

if global warming is natural and not man made but we cut down on
pollution and greenhouse gasses no harm no foul.
but if it is man made and we do nothing we are screwed. better to err on the
side of caution.

the way you wingnut dupes act you'd think you had stock in 'polluters-r-us'
or were being paid by the oil lobby.

as a kid when my family went north to central NH we would cross the nasuhua
river{about 20 feet wide, a mile on either side the stench was terrible.
when anti-pollution laws came in in the 70s the stench went away and you
don't even notice the river now.

the raret blue heron appeared on our lake in the late 70s.
now you see them in boston.
maybe you think enviromental laws are insane but i see them working out
quite nicely.

but maye you are right, best to pollute everything now, screw the future, if
god wanted the people of the future to have resources he'd have let them be
born sooner.

so lets ignore the enviroment, maybe your grandkids that the aces produce
will find that being Hydroencephalitic Imbeciles an advatage.

after all who are we to doubt the bush/cheney team when you consider how
spot on they've been on iraq.

Does your caps key work? or are you just too stupid to use it?

Don't you just love the way I motivate you to display your full ignorance?

Did I tell you that this Aces Science average has gone up to 120? That's 20%
better than perfect by the way.

Here he is in action

and here is the other holding the runner on after a routine magnificent
catch.

Enjoy your fantasy baseball, and other things as well.
