Sadly, it happened about three months too late ... but I'm going to
have a drink to celebrate this exceptionally good news. Who is going
to be next? That bullpen needs some house cleaning and Choke is just
the first dust bunny to be swept out the door.

Giant's Splash blog mentions that the Giants are brining up a couple
of fireballers from the minors and I don't mean Fresno.

I would have rather tried to trade him for someone, even a minor leaguer.
Surprised that he will not go down to triple A if that happens as he will
still be making decent money. Messenger has just started coming back around
after pitching really bad through May. Hennessey still sucks. Chulk
(choke) really needs to get his act together. He is not that bad, but
without decent control and the ability to keep the ball down, his fastball
can be flat and he hangs too many breaking pitches. But like many relievers
he needs to get into a groove. I doubt that he will have be a great
reliever so he might as well be gone. Give somone else in the organization a
shot. Another failure for rags.

Pretty much it looks like Messenger and Hennessey are old news too.
Hennessey's value dropped like a ton of bricks, now we need to get rid of
Zito.

Watch out for the two kids coming up from deeper than AAA. Both throw
hard and that's refreshing after Chulk. I wouldn't mind seeing Yabu
heading for assignment as well.

Are you kidding? Yabu and Tashner are the only ones in the bullpen with ERA
under 3. Everyone else is over 4, except Hinshaw (3.45).

Yabu's toast and I'll give Taschner a pass. Yabu's ERA is 3.43 and
he's now 3-4.

What is Wilson's ERA and W-L?
