Well as long as the Jays do get some cash in this deal - I'll take it.
It will be a good upgrade I think

With deals like this, does anyone else out there feel that JP has no
idea what he is doing.
A move like this won't improve this team, they get a bit better
defensively and a lot worse offensively. The Yankees are going after
Johan Santana trying to get better, and we are trading one broken down
3rd baseman for another broken down 3rd baseman.

I sure would agree,on that,does anybody
remember jp's so called five year plan?
!(Times up jp and we had a better team
before you started gutting the farm
system and using a spread sheet
guru to make decisions duhhhhhhh,
for you on deals.)!
So far he done nothing but acquire high priced burn outs and a pitching
staff who
spends 3/4 of the season riding the pines.
And traded away or scorned players into
wanting to get out of TO.
But I must say even if the team had thoughts about Santana, what kind of
possible package could they but together
to get possibly another malcontent like
Rolen is already.??
It's gona take a lot of green or some
big name players to pry Santana away
from the Twinkies.
And unfortunately the jays have neither.
I suppose jp figures after he got Eckstien
he figured it would be a ku to land his
x team mate in the bargain.(Not)
Eckstein has seen better days and imho
Johny Mac is just as good or better defensively speaking of
course.Remains to be seen I guess.
The only real highs last season was
watching JM make one outstanding play
after another on the highlight reels.
That and some good work by a make
shift pitching satff.
I guess 3rd place in the ale is a lock as
long has the baston beek calls the shots.
