a new manager by July,15. It is just amazing how little the writers are
willing to read into Georges statements. George wasn't predicting a win as
much as demanding it from Torre. One thing that Joe isn't going to do this
year is take the team down to the wire like last year. If the Yanks falter
this year no time will be wasted as this team is just chock full of managers
in waiting. Does Lou have a job yet or is he taking it week by week?
