Looks like a tough way for Lincecum to take his first loss, and for his era
to go up. Not only did the umpire decide the game, but the giants
baserunners took themselves out of a win. Sloppy on several accounts. Our
speedmen can't score from second on an outfield hit, yet two of our
opponents this year in one week scored from second base on infield hits.
Could win have evaded the tag at third? Not to mention a few other
questionable baserunning moves. I will say that was a weirder balk call
than the first one of two that helped to get Benitez out of here.
