I know that everyone hates Bob Brenly because he's a rotten manager,
but who do you want to replace him? Probably the best replacement is
Phil Garner, given the type of team that Arizona is.

Garner, the man who helped make the Tigers such a force to be reckoned with
today?

A rotten manager who everyone hates?? Where did this come from......

I guess you can hate a guy as manager after 2 division titles, a league
championship and a world championship if you want, but I think that's a
pretty good deal for a manager let alone a rookie manager...

Everyone hates Brenley? Not this one. Sorry. I like his temper and
his fire. I like the fact that he tends to play the hot hand and not
have folks up there for a long time just gathering pine. If you are
there you will play,.

I even like the fact that he is giving Myers a chance to put up or shut
up. Hopefully, Myers will be gone later this season or simply dropped
at the end. I do not expect to see him or (hopefully) Dessens when
this team starts out next year.

What alternate universe have you been living in? Brenly is already being
mentioned as manager of the year contender for the awesome job he's done
bringing this team back into contention using a bunch of raw rookies.

Oh, yeah. Two division titles and a championship in two seasons at the
helm.... truly a horrible manager.

Can you bring back Earl Weaver? On second thought, Brenly isn't doing too
bad a job of conjuring up the old man's ghost, at that.

No, Arizona is a =successful= organization. Send Garner off to Pittsburgh or
something.

Eeewww... you're kidding, right? Even the most ardent fans of Brenly
have to admit that he needs to learn how to "manage" the umpires.
When he does argue with them, he usually stands next to them and
stares at the ground, rather than get in their faces. Tossing a ball
into the seats from 100 feet away? Feh.

Lloyd McClendon... now he's got it right.
