I guess I'd known this and forgotten it but on top of the pressure of
pitching in that big game last night L'il Pape is from the south and
apparently may have family concerns in that regards. The kid really does
have ice water in his veins.
That's all I've got for before game comments. I'm still spent from
staying up until 2:00 to do last night's post not to mention the mental
tiredness of the game itself. And no one even had the decency to respond
to it until this evening. Instead of being insulted I'll just assume the
rest of you were exhausted today too. <G>
A bit tough to assign blame (Thoughnot minuses.), because several
contributed in small ways, tonight. Clement had just the one real bad
inning. Edgar made 2 errors but all the runs seem to be earned. None
of the hitters really stunk but no one really shown either.
Obviously this (2.5 game lead.) is nothing to worry too much about
unless you're an avowed neggie, but not being able to open up a bigger
lead IS a bit frustrating.
So little Harville of late is a good thing. it means they are either
winning or close a lot.
If they're still looking for a post season relief formula why not see
what Delcarmen has got? He IS still here right? Seems like it's been a
long time since we've seen him?
Too bad to see Petagine look so rusty. But with both Millar and Olerud
hitting well of late it's tough to get him in there much.
