Too bad he couldn't crack the code to stay in the bigs.

Have fun,
Tom

He never had much of a chance with the Cardinals. But he never really did
much with the limited chances he did get, either. I guess Chris Duncan
pretty much made him superfluous, since they are similar, but Duncan clearly
better

50 plate appearances, 21 of which came as a pinch hitter, in 30 games
played = never given any chance. Not "limited chances". He was never
given any chance. If they were going to jerk the guy around like
this, they should have released him 3 years ago.

At least I don't have to say "Free John Gall" anymore.

I wish him well.

Yeah, I definitely do agree with Lance, the Cardinals really jerked him
around. Hopefully he can do well in Korea.

Although if I were him, I would rather have gone to Japan. Based solely on
watching their respective movies, Japanese women are much much better
looking than Korean women.

He is a strange case, though. Just what was it that he didn't do to get a
shot at the majors? Last year he didn't hit great, but hit pretty well.

Conversely, why do some guys who are bad stick around?

This year it would be Miles. He doesn't hit for average. Or power. Nor
does he get on base. His defense isn't very good - you have a guy - Luna,
who is better in every single category. But Miles still gets the bulk of the
playing time at 2b.

When Joe McEwing and Bo Hart flamed out, they generally saw their playing
time reduced or were gotten rid of. But not Miles. It's a puzzler.

I don't understand that either. Miles blows, yet you always hear (the
tool) Dan McLaughlin and the other mindless broadcasters going on and on
about how such a great addition he is to the team.
