I predict great things for Victor Martinez - As a Yankee or Red Sox. :-)

Pretty quiet for a first place club... - Come on folks, where's the chatter? Last year at the break weren't the Indians like 14 games out or some such thing? This year, they're in a first place tie with Detroit. The second half looks so

Transactions - Rodriguez off DL; Santiago to Buffalo - Ricardo Rodriguez was activated off the DL and Jose Santiago was sent to Buffalo. Now, I lived in upstate NY for a time, so I am pretty familiar with I-90 from Cleveland to Buffalo. Do you think Jose Santiago pretty much has all the exits memorized yet?

Good news for Buffalo, I guess.

Now we'll get to see Delucci hit about .260, with little power,
and almost but not quite get to a lot of balls in LF. But - with Marte
playing 3rd, Delucci will soon pull another hamstring chasing after
the daily E5s by Marte. Then Choo will get the chance to play LF.
He of course, will hit about .275, with no power. He'll blow out his
new elbow throwing from the corner to 2B to stop runners advancing
after the E5s described above. Then, Francisco will get a chance,
and the Tribe will have one of the best outfields in the AL.

Ugh. Delucci will be lucky to hit his weight.

How soon will they cut their losses with Marte? None too soon for me.

I say the same thing with Lee.
I'd rather have kept Laffey.

I also wonder if Lee is a pain in the ass in the clubhouse.

Could be I dunno. I read someplace that he's not very coachable sort of
set in his ways. He got paid, so it's time to put up or shut up. Those
lefties get a lot of rope..
