Post subject: Foul fly balls

Suppose a runner tags and scores from third on a foul fly ball. Is the
batter given a sacrifice fly and awarded an rbi?

I remember Vic Scully commenting years ago that hitters are not awarded
sac/rbi's for foul balls.

I'm not sure, but you could check the official scoring rules as part of the
official rules (section 10) at mlb.com

In general, more folks will see your post if you ask at rec.sport.baseball
instead of r.s.b.d.
