Dreaded "L's" - Knock in or score all the runs as Nats sweep the Oreos! Manny even figures a way to get Logan on base! pitches great game and bull pen does its' job. Time to cool down the Jays. 8 wins to go to get to .500.

What the hxxl happened? - 14 runs, 29 hits, 1 error in 27 innings against the second best record (and that's only because we won the series 2-1) in the NL. What is it that Han Solo says when he comes out of deep freeze? "I go away for a while and everyone gets ideas of..

Nats and Manny - need to go back to basics and learn how to move up runners and score them. 24 base runners stranded I flicked it off at 5-0 after Flopez fails to hit a ground ball right side with Church at 3rd and 1 out. Zim and Schneider lead the parade..

Thomas Boswell - Now that we have the Nats, one of the things I'm most looking forward to is reading Thomas Boswell's work in the Post. He seems to have a feel for baseball. I've often enjoyed reading him, but I don't know much about him. Is he going to be..

Walter Johnson - The following article was sent to people on the Bethesda Big Train (Cal Ripken Sr. Baseball League) email list. I trust that there are no copyright issues involved with reposting it here. If so, mea culpa. ..

Nats fail to tender an offer to Nook Logan. Nat's were polite - said he
needed to improve his hitting, fielding and baserunning. Same with
O'Connor - who it apprears never came back from arm trouble.

Looks like the "Nats Fan Caravan" is the kiss of death. Both O'Connor
and Logan are gone. Maybe this years caravan can include Langerhans and
Flop.

Langerhans, like Don Sutton is here until Stan says he is not. He's a
former Brave - everything they do MUST be correct. At least we won't have
lineups with all three of the dreads in there at the same time. Not sure
what to say about Flop. As a hitter there is no contest between playing him
or Belliard everyday - take Belliard and don't look back. Guzzegg being an
in and outer means you can't move Flop unless he and Guzzegg could be
packaged into a deal for someone. One underperformer acting as the
insurance policy for another underperformer. I would hope they are talking
to the Marlins and finding what it will take to pry Ramirez away from the 6
hole. Loria sold the Expos out, now the Marlins.
