Watching on TV, Utley goes in to break up the double play. Howard's slow,
and he's grounded pretty much a dead-play DP ball. But, weird, the toss to
second is late. Utley is safe. Utley touches the bag with his sliding foot
but his weight carries him to the right of the bag as he grabs the 2nd
baseman's legs - again - to break up the aforementioned DP. Yeah, Utley
made a mistake, but how many times does the guy coming into second try and
break up the DP and come off the bag? Every time?
But, I will tell you, Howard was definitely running out his ground outs.
That was nice to see.
Yes - tonight is "must win".
