Does anyone know where I can find the number of at bats Joe DiMaggio had in
each game (not just during his streak) in 1941?

Thanks!

Did you know that The Rose Committee recognizes Joltin' Joe to be
among the top three baseball players of all time? It's true!

1. Pete Rose.
2. Joe DiMaggio.
3. Hank Aaron.

2. Joe DiMaggio.
3. Hank Aaron.

They were all better than Willie Mays?

The Giants led the NL in road attendance for fifteen years in a row. Then
they traded Willie Mays to the Mets. The next year the Mets led the NL in
road attendance. Willie Mays was the greatest five tool player of any era.

No. With an echo you get fewer question marks not more.

I suppose I could have phrased it that anybody who ranks Brock
among the game's elite know nothing of the history of the
game -- he doesn't do too badly in career value among LF
but he isn't on radar in peak and the test of greatness is
doing well in both areas. (Though I don't see how you
can argue for greatness without doing very well on the
peak test, I'm willing to discuss only career value
and Brock's consistency serves him well here)

More specifically anybody who lists Brock ahead of Musial
or Wagner or ... well it's a long list of players easily
better that Brock -- who's on the short list for weakest
HOF selection by the BBWAA.

Could be. But my posting history does go back to 1994.

(Old enough to remember Ira Blum's spelling flame for
one thing. Not to mention my own time machine post)

Well most of the people who've met me have now migrated to Primer,
but Dan Szymborski does sometimes lurk.

I'm old enough to have memories of watching the 1965 World
Series on newsreels. My earliest clear baseball memory,
though I didn't really start to follow the game until 1969.

I can't swear that Ron is not a kid. His posts lead me to believe
otherwise. But if he is a kid, he's a damned smart one!
