Seems as tho the current Cubs line up is starting to hit. Needs some
fine tuning but are things starting to look up for the Cubs? Maybe so.

I was a bit surprised yesterday when Lou didn't let Lilly start the
9th and try for a complete game. Was it a pitch count thing?

And how much of this is attributable to the addition of Pie, Fontenot,
Theriot, Marshall, and Hill? And Marmol is doing a nice job out of the
bullpen. Nice to see the young guys from our minor league teams
contributing.

Its been awhile since we have been able to harvest this many good
prospects. The system is far from depleted, Patterson is close to being
ripe and we have some young arms in Holiman and Veal at Tennessee. I like
our future. I hope they go easy on Lee but, from past experience whoever
throws the first punch gets the longest suspension. I am hoping that after
the bad call we got Vs Atlanta, MLB will cut us some slack. Losing Lee and
Ramis at the same time is a tough gig.

The owner will be glad to hear this...means he can sell them in shame
trades and make millions under the table.
